CellTester is currently browser-based and works on iPhone, Android and any desktop browser. No app installation required — open the browser, log in, connect to the router.
A dedicated mobile app is planned. It will add:
- Streamlined router connection via Bluetooth or QR
- Offline mode for poor-connectivity sites
- One-tap certificate download to Photos/Files
- Push notifications for sweep completion
Consumer signal testing vs professional IoT commissioning
There are many apps available for checking mobile signal on a smartphone. These read signal from the phone’s own modem — useful for consumer purposes but not for professional IoT commissioning. A phone with an internal antenna at standing height is not the same measurement system as a Teltonika router with an external MIMO antenna at rooftop height. The readings are different because the hardware is different.
CellTester solves this by testing with the actual installed hardware. No phone app can do that — only a platform that connects to the router directly.
